Real time access to machine data is an essential requirement for an efficient usage of the available factory resources: raw material, energy, man-power, machinery, parts and consumable.

For the “older” machines, without on-board control & electronics, we propose the installation of eText4.0 , our cost-effective solution for machine control and connection, enabling the simple set-up of a Digital Factory from the “digital brownfield”.

System Architecture Placeholder image The system is composed by several devices, all connected into a wired LAN network:

New Machine Controllers, placed on each machine (manufacturer and type independent). Twisters, covering machines, fancy yarn machines, winders…all types can be integrated in the system.
Gateway, industrial PC which collects data from machines and exchanges them with factory management software.
Access Points, with which the users access to the user-interface to set all production data and monitor status.

Machine Controller Placeholder image Older generation machines (with no controllers ON-Board) can be updated with our simple and cost-effective solution. Each machine will be equipped with a set of Raspberry Pi + SRP0001 (custom made board).
Raspberry Pi affordable PC is connected to our custom developed industrial I/O card (SRP0001), resulting in a powerful controller with following specs:

Power Supply: 115-230VAC;
2 x Fast Inputs for speed sensors (meter counters);
6 x Inputs, configurable 5VDC – 230 VAC;
5 x Relè Outputs (max 5A-230 VAC);
CanOpen Industrial fieldBUS port;
Ethernet based protocols using Rpi RJ45 port (Modbus TCP/IP, OPC-UA …);
